I often like to say that art is like sports: part of it is talent, but the rest is all about practice and keeping your creative muscles in good shape. Then, I am also unrepentantly lazy, so I need extra motivation... challenges and stuff (other than professional deadlines) always help, but today I'd like to put Michael Nobbs' 75 ways to draw more project in the spotlight. "75 ways..." is simply a booklet you can download for free from here: [link] It lists 75 easy exercises to get you to draw more (duh!). I just printed it... now let's see if I can keep up with that, lol.

Another project I joined on Flickr (although I ended up slacking) is Make something cool every day [link] , where the goal is to post some art (illustration, design, photography, everything is fair game) every day. There's lots of talented people posting there and just looking around in the group is a great inspiration.

Last but not least, ~HP-199 has invited me to share my canon-based HP art for his Harry Potter Companion site [link] I suggest you go take a look at the project because it's really impressive and - incredibly for such a big and well established fandom - as far as I know HP didn't have a comprehensive fanmade companion yet; I especially appreciate that it doesn't shy away from pointing at the occasional inconsistencies, because being a fan doesn't mean you have to leave critique out of the door My profile at the site is here: [link]

1) NO STEALING. The internet is a small place, in the end - if you steal, sooner or later the real author of the art will know it. And there shall be no mercy for art thieves! *does a Brother Justin impression* I am okay if you REFERENCE my art, but you MUST credit me with a link to ~Pojypojy and to the original piece. Same if you want to color/alter anything. It's just basic netiquette, guys. If I catch you putting up eyeballed or - *rolleyes* - traced stuff without a clear credit redirecting here, you will be reported to DeviantArt ASAP. Sorry to sound harsh but would you like someone else to take credit for something you did? I guess not.



2) ASK BEFORE USING. I'm okay with people using my art for icons/graphics/etc., only, it's a basic rule to ask for permission first. Only, no out of context use (for instance pretending the characters illustrated are someone else), and no use on political or religious sites. I don't want my stuff to be associated with something I might not agree with, sorry.

3) COMMISSIONS: not taking any at the moment. You will be notified when I am.

4) READ THE PICTURE DESCRIPTION BEFORE COMMENTING. It's unnerving when people ask about things that are already explained right below the picture...</font>
